About
Before six is when the Surf Coast is at its best.
The sun coming up over Point Addis.
An awesome cruisy wave at Torquay Point before the carpark fills.
The dogs losing their minds on the sand.
A coffee, a notebook and an idea that wasn’t there yesterday.
That’s where Before Six comes from. The belief that the good stuff, the clear thinking, the momentum, the magic all tends to happen early, before the noise starts.
It’s also how I’ve worked for 25 years.
I spent most of my career inside agencies, large and small, building and running digital marketing for businesses of every size.
Then I did the thing most marketers never do. I built my own small business from nothing, grew it, and sold it.
I’ve written the copy at midnight, sweated the ad spend, fixed the website myself and lain awake wondering whether the next month’s leads would come.
So when you tell me what it’s like, I’m not nodding politely. I absolutely get it.
That’s why small business is where I want to be.
Big brands have whole departments. You have a to-do list, a budget that has to work, and a vision you’ve probably been carrying around for years.
I think that deserves big-picture thinking and someone who actually cares whether it works, not a package or another retainer.
Built around your goals and your vision, not the latest trend. Where you are, where you’re going, what to do first.
Getting you found on Google, and in the AI-powered answers people are increasingly searching with.
Structured properly, measured properly, and managed by someone who’s run serious budgets and knows where the money leaks.
Clear, mobile-first sites that make it obvious what you do and easy to say yes.
Tracking, analytics, landing pages, email, and the honest conversation about which of these you actually need right now.
I listen first. I’ll tell you straight what’s working, what isn’t and what I’d do if it were my business, because for a long time, it was. I’ll scope things to what you can realistically invest, and I’ll be in your corner the whole way.
